GM is in the midst of the biggest transformation in its history as it moves to an all-EV product lineup. But this well-publicized shift has
left many of its gas-powered vehicle team members uncertain and afraid of a future that might not include them. So GM’s highest-level executives asked us to create a video series that would help ease those fears. GM is planning on creating three more in this series that would be used on all GM social channels and LinkedIn.

General Motors Brand, Changing Lanes
In 2017 GM asked us to create a video that would capture the heritage and essence of their largest global brand, Chevrolet. The video would be used for investor meetings, new employee onboarding, road shows and even to help celebrate the upcoming Chevy Silverado Centennial celebration. The theme of the video was based on a quote by Louis Chevrolet, “Never Give Up” and showed that as great as Chevrolet’s first 100 years have been, its future promises to be even more exciting.

Chevrolet, Never Give Up
In March of 2020 when Covid was declared a global pandemic the world was desperate for needed medical supplies. GM immediately went all-in converting plants and facilities to help make masks, respirators and other needed equipment. The problem was that GM was not getting the credit for the hard work and investment they were putting into this global crisis. So, we created a corporate video that was used on all GM channels and was also picked up by news outlets across the U.S. It was a success in getting out the real story and also an example of how a major brand should act in a time of need. CEO Mary Barra ended the video saying that it was one of the proudest moments in her GM career.

GM, Answer The Call
When Cadillac set out to reveal the new V-Series Blackwing to the top automotive journalists in the U.S. we realized the best way to get an honest reaction to its incredible performance was to capture it real-time with GoPros as they drove the Blackwing at hair raising speeds on a test track. Using quick cuts with strong quotes and eye-catching graphics we were able to create an entertaining and informative video that not only helped reveal the new Blackwing but also generated a lot of earned media for the Cadillac brand.
